Four plaintiffs suing CP Rail have been awarded damages totalling $1.86 million (USD) for injuries suffered after a CP train derailed and leaked anhydrous ammonia near Minot, SD in 2002. The damages were awarded by a Minneapolis jury and fell short of the $2.65 million originally claimed by the plaintiffs. CPR, which has already admitted fault, faces claims from an additional 100-plus plaintiffs for the same incident. (Source: Canoe.ca)
